Happy 9th Birthday Joel!!!

February 28th, 2001 Joel William Austin Shrum was born. He was our 3rd little baby boy!

He went from this tiny little bundle ...........

to this sweet, smart, handsome little 9 yr. old boy! Time Flies doesn't it !!!!!!! It is just so sad to see them grow up! :0(

Happy Birthday Joely!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Verses that really spoke to me and helped me get through our adoptions.

(John 14:18) " I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."

(Isaiah 43:5-6) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you,
I will bring your children from the west. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth."

(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold water is to a thirsty soul : so is good
news from a far country."

(Matthew 6:25-34) The do not worry chapter.
This is the chapter that told me we would adopt again and the
baby girl woud be named Lily (Lilee). "The lilies of the field".
This is a great reminder of why we should not worry, God will take care of his people!

(Psalms 82: 3-4) "Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Resue the weak and neady; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

(Psalms 68: 5) "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."

(Deuteronomy 10:18) " He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow and loves the alien, giving them food and clothing."

(Philippians 4:13) "I can do all things through him who gives me strength."

(Philippians 4:6-7) " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present
your request to God. And the peace of God,which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
