Happy 1st Gotcha Day Lilee!!!

One year ago today Lilee came home after a horrific 17 month wait. Today she has been home for a whole year. Alot has changed in a year. She has made a perfect fit into our family and into all our hearts. Lilee is a smart, beautiful, and funny little girl with a BIG attitude!She knows how to boss her daddy and brothers around already! She is talking in small sentences and she loves Hannah Montanna and Zack and Cody (from the suite life) , she also loves to sing and dance. She is a true girly girl (YAY!!!) and a little priss pot! We Love You Lilee and could not imagine life with out you! My heart ached for you to be home with your family where you belonged and now you are here!!

Here are some recent pictures I took of her in her Guatemala dresses, I bought her in Antigua on a few of my many trips over there.

Meeting her brother Joel for the first time. He was the only one that had not gotten to go to Guatemala to meet her.

One year ago all our5 kids were together and home for the 1st time!

I remember from A.com when you got Lilee! We were waiting to go get Sophia at the time...waiting on our BC.

Verses that really spoke to me and helped me get through our adoptions.

(John 14:18) " I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."

(Isaiah 43:5-6) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you,
I will bring your children from the west. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth."

(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold water is to a thirsty soul : so is good
news from a far country."

(Matthew 6:25-34) The do not worry chapter.
This is the chapter that told me we would adopt again and the
baby girl woud be named Lily (Lilee). "The lilies of the field".
This is a great reminder of why we should not worry, God will take care of his people!

(Psalms 82: 3-4) "Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Resue the weak and neady; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

(Psalms 68: 5) "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."
