We Sponsored Roxana for 2009

We started sponsoring a Mayan Indian little girl ( Roxana, from Guatemala) in 2008 ,so that she would be able to go to school. The Mayan Indians are very poor and can not afford their children to go to school.

Mayan Families started a sponsorship for these children to be able to do to school. Our Roxana is starting her 2nd year of school this year. She is 9 yrs old and is just now in the 2nd grade. With our help she woould have never started school. I have enjoyed watching her grow up in the last year and hopefully one day I will be able to meet her. Mama Bear said...: It is so amazing. We too sponsor a little girl through the MFO for three years now and she is going to be in 5th grade and we are sooo excited for her. The most amazing thing was that we got to meet her and her family in 3/2007. What a special time that was.; January 2, 2009 at 8:58 AM

Verses that really spoke to me and helped me get through our adoptions.

(John 14:18) " I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."

(Isaiah 43:5-6) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you,
I will bring your children from the west. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth."

(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold water is to a thirsty soul : so is good
news from a far country."

(Matthew 6:25-34) The do not worry chapter.
This is the chapter that told me we would adopt again and the
baby girl woud be named Lily (Lilee). "The lilies of the field".
This is a great reminder of why we should not worry, God will take care of his people!

(Psalms 82: 3-4) "Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Resue the weak and neady; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

(Psalms 68: 5) "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."

(Deuteronomy 10:18) " He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow and loves the alien, giving them food and clothing."

(Philippians 4:13) "I can do all things through him who gives me strength."

(Philippians 4:6-7) " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present
