I took the 3 little ones to see the Easter Bunny yesterday. This was the first time Lilee was not afraid. She walked right up to him and sat on his lap!
Very cute picture! so Springy, they are promising a little spring here and not so much snow, we can only hope. I don't blame her for being afraid, a big giant Rabbit is a bit scary, to me anyway, my daughter has no fear of things like that but I used to have my mom hang a sign on my door to tell the easter bunny to leave the basket outside of my room, because that giant rabbit is what I picture and it freaked me out.
Joel, Sara and Lilee, Great picture. Lilee you did a good job. I'm glad you are not afraid any more. Jordan and Josiah, hey guys. I know you're getting more mature, but enjoy Easter, too with the little ones. Happy Easter to you all.
Verses that really spoke to me and helped me get through our adoptions.
(John 14:18) " I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."
(Isaiah 43:5-6) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you, I will bring your children from the west. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth."
(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold water is to a thirsty soul : so is good news from a far country."
(Matthew 6:25-34) The do not worry chapter. This is the chapter that told me we would adopt again and the baby girl woud be named Lily (Lilee). "The lilies of the field". This is a great reminder of why we should not worry, God will take care of his people!
(Psalms 82: 3-4) "Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Resue the weak and neady; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
(Psalms 68: 5) "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."
(Deuteronomy 10:18) " He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow and loves the alien, giving them food and clothing."
(Philippians 4:13) "I can do all things through him who gives me strength."
(Philippians 4:6-7) " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God,which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
(Romans 8:28) " And we know that all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
(James 1:27) "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the orphans and widows in their destress, and to keep oneself from being polluted from by the world."
I am a mama to 5 kids. 3 handsome boys and our 2 Guatemalan Princessa's. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 15 yrs. I have had a love for the orphans since I was 13 yrs. old. I knew one day I would adopt. Now that we have are we finished? I guess we will have to wait and see what God has in store for us!
