The Boys FootBall Camp

The boys were invited to a football camp last week by one of Karlton's friend (Joe) who son( Chris Canty) is a NFL Player. He played for the Dallas Cowboys last year but was drafted to the New York Giants for $42 Million w/ a $17 Mill. signing bonus! Nice huh! The camp was in Charlotte Thurs- Sat. and cost $150 per child. The best part was the boys way was paid and we did not have to pay anything but the 3 days of gas running back and 4th. They would have never had a chance like this other wise.




3 Very Happy Campers!

They were worked so hard from 7:30- 12:00 everyday, in the HEAT!!!!!!!

The ride that brought all the players! They had several players from alot of different teams there to help coach the kids and teach them how to play football . (Panthers, Giants, Cowboys, Patriots to name a few.)

Water break.... It was so hot they had to keep these kids well hydrated!

On Sat. after the camp was over they had a big cook out and all the players signed autographs for the kids. My boys looked forward to this all week! This is Chris Canty #99 signing one of the boys football.

Here's Chris with all the kids! (This guy is 6 '8). He has always given the boys t-shirts, footballs, pictures, autographs ever since he played college football. Nice guy huh!!!! His Dad is super nice too and has known Karlton for about 10 years now through work. Chris' mom is a pastor.

This is Brandon, one of the players that the girls and I talked to while we watched the boys on Fri.

This guy Mike Barber( #53 player for the Cowboys) loved the girls! He was another one we got to know . Every time he would see the girls he would say "there's my girls" and would give the high five or pick them up.

Some of the I did not know. But, that does not mean anything since I do not watch football. Unless its the Panthers!

This is one of Joels buddies ( Tay Tay) he made during the camp. His other buddy was Jason Hatcher. He called Joel mini me.

So I guess you can tell the Boys had a great time! They are still pumped about going....This was a once in a life time thing for them!

Butterfly Bush's

Ohhhh how I love butterfly bush's. They add so much color to my garden! I have( 3-4 different types of) purple, white, and pink. I also love them because of all the butterfly's, humming birds, and bumble bee's. Aren't they beautiful!?

Bikini Babes - FFF

Oh how I love me some chubby baby booty in their bathing suits! But ,it can be a problem.... Lilee's bathing suit is always in her crack! Ughhhh! Lilee is like her mama with having a little extra junk in the trunk . Sara Ava certainly does not have that problem her swim suits always bag on her because she has thinned out so much from getting taller.

* Speaking of swim suits..... OLD NAVY has all theirs for (everyone) $5 this weekend only! Better hurry though! They are going fast! Selected shorts too!

Not much these days............. or can you????? Here is what I bought last week ...... OK it was $1.21 but you get the picture. Not bad huh!!!!

Today I got 2 freebies (floss, and BBQ sauce). I also bought 6 items for $1.15; Mustard, Ranch dressing, 2 packs of Kotex pantyliners, and 2 travel size deodorants.

My plan tomorrow is to buy 5 Bush's baked beans for $1.

Wednesdays Prayer List

*I HAVE A HUGE PRAISE UPDATE THAT I JUST RECEIVE FROM A FRIEND OF MINE AND FELLOW GUATEMALAN ADOPTION MOMMY, ANN........ She just e-mailed me to let me know that after years of trying to get 3 very special sisters home to the USA, they finally have their Embassy Apt for JULY 1 and will be arriving home on either JULY 3rd or 4th. What a Celebration that will be! Ann has already adopted 4 sweeties from Guatemala and is now getting the rest of their family home! PRAISE JESUS!!! Why are these girls so special to me??? When Karlton and I thought that Lilee's adoption was falling through back in Dec 2006. We found these 3 sisters who desperately needed a family and we so very much wanted to be their family but God had other plans with Lilee. So Karlton and I turned it over to God that he would find the perfect family for them and we prayed for these little girls until they did and then one day I stumbled upon Ann on Adoption.com and found out that she and her hubby was adopting the girls and we have stayed in touch ever since and I have prayed for them through every step of the way. Even though Guatemala's adoption has been shut down for 1 1/2 yrs. and these girls were grandfathered- in they are FINALLY COMING HOME TO THEIR PERFECT FAMILY! THANK YOU JESUS for answering the many prayers that were for these girls!!! (This picture is from Dec. 2006 when we were wanting to adopt them. I will update a new picture when Ann sends me one when she is with them.) These little girls have gone through sooo much in their short little lives. They were abandoned on the street with the oldest sister taking care of them all. But now they have a forever family!!!! Isn't God good!

* Another update my mom just called to tell me they put my sister Kristine back in the hospital with Eclampsia. This is a week after she had Elina. So please pray for her right now.

Its time for our new Wed. prayer list. Here are some prayers request that I received this week.

* My sisters new baby Elina failed her hearing test at the hospital, so please pray that will turn out OK.

*Please continue to keep our family on your prayer list! We always need it!! The 2 main things to pray for us on is......

1. The Lord will send Karlton plenty of work to keep him busy. (also see praises below) We are still behind on 2 pay checks (but its allot better then 4!!!)

2. That we will sale our land/ garage quickly! We need this money to get back on our feet and to pay many of Karlton's Business debts off!



We do have many things to be Thankful for this week and would like to give the Lord Praises where they are due!!!



1. We sold our old work vehicle and 4-wheeler, this week. That helped us to recover on some unpaid bills and get caught up on 2 pay checks.

2. We have had a glimmer of light with work this week compared to the past month or 2. But it is still very , very slow!



So THANK YOU ALL for Praying with us!!!! It is certainly helping and we can feel your love! We can also see the Lords hand at work which is very reassuring!!!!



If you want to move to SC to buy 4 gorgeous acres with a 2 stall garage / living space over it let me know! Lol! We never got to finish the garage, but it is really nice with a gorgeous piece of land connected to 20 acres of open grassy flat field.

We want to wish my dad and Karlton's step dad a very Happy Fathers day! We love you very much! Especially Karlton , hope your day is relaxing and perfect! We love you so very much! You are a great daddy! With all the cards the kids made you , should should feel very special. You better go and relax in your hammock today..... that's what it is for!

A Fun Day!

We had a great time at our Adoption Play Day today! It was so nice to see you all again ( Sophia, Daniel, and Teresa) ! We had 5 Guatemalan Beauties, 1 precious Vietnam sweetie, and 2 siblings( Joel and Kaitlyn) to show up to play. The kids have so much fun together!

Aren't all these kids just precious!!!! Precious Gifts from God! I can't wait until are next play day! For those of you who did not get to make it you missed out on a lot of fun! Hope you can join us next time!

Adoption Play Day Reminder

Don't forget tomorrow is the NC/SC Play Day at the Cross Roads (Latino Themed) Mall besides Carowinds from 11am -2 pm. They have a great play area and plenty of places to choose from to eat. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Elina Update

Elina's is doing good now (hopefully). Thank you for your prayers! I think she has some jaundice, due to her coloring. My boys had it really badly. They looked like little beach boys with their tans.

I'm An Auntie Again!

Elina Zelphie (Zelphie was our Great Grandmothers name) was born at 10:44 am yesterday morning. She weighs 6.8 lbs and is 19 1/2 in long. She had a bit of a rough start yesterday with fluid on her chest and with her oxygen levels, her white blood cells are up too so please pray for this little one. My sister is doing fine , but was not allowed to see her until 4 1/2 hrs after she was born due to her complications.

Wednesdays Prayer List

*I am asking prayer for my sister(Kristine), she is delivering her baby today by a C-section. So please pray for their health and safety.

* Vanessa asked that you pray for her family as their beloved dog died unexpectedly while on vacation.

*Please keep praying the Lord will send work for Karlton. We are going on being behind 4 pay checks. It is really starting to get scary!

*Also we are trying to sale 4 acres and a garage that Karlton has been building for his company, and a 4 wheeler. So please pray the Lord will send us buyers for those.

* I do have a praise report! My mom asked prayer last week for my brothers interview he went to and he did get the job , he started working on Monday! Praise the Lord!

Mary , Mary(Ann) Quite Contrary

How does your garden grow................

I am going green.... Every year I have had some tomato and strawberry plants but this year I wanted to try to grow some more veggies . I built a small above ground bed next to my fish pond area . Josiah and I planted zucchini, squash, cucumbers, watermelons, cantaloupe, 3 types of tomatoes, and 3 types of peppers, and strawberries. I let all the kids pick out their own plants so that is why we ended up with the plants we did. We planted these about 3 weeks ago so they are allot bigger now then in the picture ( taken a wk ago). I'll take more pictures as our garden grows. The kids are so excited for their plants to get vegetables on them. So far the cherry tomatoes are winning. Our tiny Pear tree is loaded again this year ,so in another month or 2 we should be enjoying some fruit too!

My poor little pear tree is already drooping from the load of all the pears.

Starting A New Prayer List

Every Wednesday I am going to be putting up a prayer list. If you have anything you want me and others to pray about leave me a comment here. We need to pray about each of these items daily for the week. We need to come together and pray for each other! I don't know about you all but it sure makes me feel better anyway, knowing that others are out their lifting my/our name up to the Lord!

I am still asking prayer for the Lord to send (plenty of) work for Karlton. Times are very rough and scary right now! We are still behind on a few pay checks and He has allot of business related bills that are not getting paid, so we are hearing about those 100x a day. So Please lift our family up in prayer right now. It is a very stressful time!

Joel Hanging With The Stars.....

My mom came to pick Joel up for the week on Thursday ,to take him to the beach were my mom and dad live. Today they were having a festival down at the beach were Joel got to meet Jackson from Hannah Montana (all my kids love that show), they think Jackson is sooo funny. Joel got his autograph and got to have his picture made with him. He told Joel that he liked his hat. How cool is that! I'm sure that was the highlight of his stay!

Some Really Good Buys ....

Here are some of my best buys from the last 2 days. I bought these 19 items for a grand total of $3.62 , I saved $34.91.

CVS I bought:
-6 cans of soup for .06 cents
How? They had their soup 2 for$1 and I had a coupon for $2/1.
I ended up paying the tax.

Walgreen's I bought:
-2 Ecotrin .32 cents
How? They had it on sale for $2 ea. and I had coupons for $2 off, but it even gets better. After you buy them it spits out $2 RR for each one you buy so I had $4 to spend. So I bought.
-2 Colgate's that were .99 ea.
-2 dawns that were .99 ea.
I needed a filler for .04 so I bought the dried cranberries for $1. So that made my total at Walgreen's $1.62 for 7 items.

Harris Teeter I bought:
-4 bags of wacky mac pasta -Free
-1 box of Special K cereal -Free
Just paid the tax of .26 cents for all.
then I bought:
-1 spray -n- wash for $1.75
How? I had a coupon for a free box of Special K , 2 rain checks from last weeks deals for b1g1 free and then I used my coupons that they doubled for the rest.

I also went to Food Lion yesterday that is not pictured and bought:
-1 green bell pepper .99
-1 Peanut Butter .89
-1 Special K cereal -Free
-1 loaf of bread- .97
-OM Jumbo Hot dogs -Free
Total $3.03
Saved $10.98
How? I had coupons for a free Box of Special K and the OM Hot dogs. Then I used a $1 off coupon for the Peanut Butter. The other items were on sale.

My total for the 2 days was:
$6.65 for 25 items.
I saved $ 45.89

When I took Joel(8) to Food Lion and spent $3.03 on the 5 items he said $3's that all??
Then today when I bought my 1st order from H.T it was for the .26 , Jordan(13) said Whoa!!!!
I love it when my kids know that we got a good deal! I am teaching them at a young age to shop with coupons. Now every where we go they ask do you have a coupon for that? Lol!!! Most of the time I wish! Wouldn't it be nice if there was a coupon for every thing? Esp. Gas!!!?

NC/SC Adoption Get Together June 20th
