FFF - Ice Skating

These pictures were taken last Saturday on Sara Ava's birthday, which is also her cousin Cole's B/D. Sara Ava wanted to go Ice Skating for her B/D and we were taking her until we found out her cousin was going too. So Sara Ava ended up going Ice Skating but not to celebrate her B/D. Tomorrow we are going again with a couple of her friends to celebrate. She is so excited because she loved it!

The 2 oldest boys went when they were little (about 10 yrs ago). They don't remember it at all. So it was like taking all 5 kids for the first time. At first I was going to just watch them because it was sooooo cold. It was 24 degrees outside and I did not want any part of the ice. But, the girls could not even get on the ice with out falling and would immediately get off. I told them let me get my balance and went around a few times and then came back to help them and everyone else for that matter ;0) lol......

Karlton brought Jordan later. Jordan was Wrestling all day long. Karlton had to go and pick him up early because he was not finished when it was time to leave for the party. After I helped Karlton get his balance and teach him how to take off, then it was Jordan's turn. Poor guy! I think he was the most uncoordinated out of us all. He always had to grab me and almost take me down with him.

So here are the pictures of that day.... Most are blurry because it is really hard to stop on the ice and take pictures. I was moving in most of them. Ha!

Their cousin Kaylee (the blonde) and her friend. Thank goodness for these 2. They helped me with the girls a lot! Sara Ava made me almost fall once. I could not take both girls at once even though I tried. I was sore for days afterwards! Seriously!

I asked Karlton to take a picture of me spinning....I could do 3 spins in a row. He said he got a good one and this was it. ughhh....... looks like I'm dancing. I promise you that I am not! Ha! Ha!

My Valentine's Project

This Wreath ended up taking me 4 days to make with the help of my kids. But, it only cost about $6 to make. Can't beat that! I was going to make this for Christmas but ended up buying another wreath I liked better so I saved this to make for Valentines. Wanna guess what this is made out of??? It took about 300-350 of these to make it..... I think I am going to change the ribbon into a wider one. I used what I had and don't like it.... What do you think?

Snow Day 2 & 3

Only Joel played out in the snow yesterday and built a snowman. Then Josiah joined him today to sled. They have great sledding now since all the snow is iced over, the can sail across the entire yard with ease. The girls have not asked once to go back outside. Lilee freezes easily and  Sara Ava does not like to be cold. So the girls are just happy watching from the warm house.  The kids are on their 2nd snow day off from school  and tomorrow does not look good either. I am hoping for a 2 hour delay to the worst. We need to get these kids back in school so they do not have to make up to many days ;0)

Snowed In!

We ended up with about 7 inches of snow yesterday. Let me just say we made the most out of it! We had a ton of fun! I ran the kids up the road about a mile to sled and snow board. It is really tough and tiring to run in 7 inches of snow!!! Then, after we played for a while we headed back home.... Karlton had driven Lilee to meet us because we knew she would not make it that far and would be too cold before we even got there. But everyone except Josiah and I rode back with Karlton. I ran home.... To warm up I made soup and hot chocolate for lunch and then we made now cream for dessert. After baths to warm the kids up we put them to bed for a nap. Well....the little kids anyway. While they rested I got to enjoy my Christmas present. I snuggled up in front of my new fire place to read!!!! Ahhhh...it was so nice and warm! The kids were already out of school for teachers workday yesterday, but today we got our first snow day of the year. Karlton is trying to go to work today, I am praying the roads are safe enough!

Happy Birthday Sara Ava!!!

I can't believe my little girl is 7 today......How sad :0(. It seems like yesterday that Karlton and I flew to Guatemala to give her a Birthday Party for her 2nd Birthday. I missed her 1st Birthday because her birth mother had not given her up yet. But, I promised her this day that I would never miss another one! Happy Birthday sweet daughter of mine! We Love you soooo very much!]

 Sara Ava was 22 months old the first time we saw her. She learned 5-10 English words that weekend. Her 2nd Birthday was the 2nd time we went to see her. She learned another 10 or so English words. So by this trip she knew about 20 words. Here is a cute little clip I found last night..... I think it is sooo precious! Please excuse me in the video! I such a dork ;0)

Just Kidding........Josiah is only 13, so thankfully he has a few years to go. He was not on the road so no panicking! We were on a long graveled driveway, and he asked me if he could drive. He said it was scary and does not want to drive on the road! Good Boy Josiah!!!! Keep thinking that way ;0) Jordan on the other hand is 14 1/2 and does not feel that way..........Aaaahhhhh I am soooo not ready for drivers!!!
