Bragging Rights.......

I wanted to take a moment and brag on my oldest son Jordan. He has had a really good week . Last Monday he received a $250 College Scholarship from a program that he is in at his middle school. They have a chance to receive one every semester until he graduates. He just has to keep up his good grades and meet other requirements.

This Monday night his Basketball team won their Championship game. Jordan even scored a basket that night too! Way to go Jordan , keep up all the hard work!

As we are getting ready to send DD1to college in the fall I do wonder where all that money will come from.

Verses that really spoke to me and helped me get through our adoptions.

(John 14:18) " I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."

(Isaiah 43:5-6) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you,
I will bring your children from the west. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth."

(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold water is to a thirsty soul : so is good
news from a far country."

(Matthew 6:25-34) The do not worry chapter.
This is the chapter that told me we would adopt again and the
baby girl woud be named Lily (Lilee). "The lilies of the field".
This is a great reminder of why we should not worry, God will take care of his people!

(Psalms 82: 3-4) "Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Resue the weak and neady; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

(Psalms 68: 5) "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."
