They say the eyes are the window to your soul. So I thought we could play a game. Name whose eyes these are (which should not be hard), and what you think these eyes are saying to you, also name the color of eyes. Be Creative!!! I can't wait to read all your comments!
I love all the different shapes and colors of eyes that are family has!
( I am steeling this from my friend Kelly who did this a while ago on her blog.)
MaryAnn, I just had a chance to get caught up on all your posts. first of all, love the eyes post, what a neat idea. Remember that you live in God's economy, you are not of this world only in this world. God only "has plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans for a hope and a future". Faith is believing in things not seen yet, but believing is an action word that puts God's Word in to action. So find prosperity scriptures and pray those over your husband and his business and then believe. Dont give up if results dont come right away, God has answered your prayers and you dont want to give up before the miracle happens. Hugs, Susie
It's so amazing to see the difference in the blue/green of each of the guys and your eyes. No two are exactly the same. And Lilee's eyes look darker to me than Sara's. I'm just so thankful to God that all of your eyes are perfect. Don't take that for granted. Not all of us have that gift. We're just trying to hang on to what little we have left.
Verses that really spoke to me and helped me get through our adoptions.
(John 14:18) " I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."
(Isaiah 43:5-6) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you, I will bring your children from the west. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth."
(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold water is to a thirsty soul : so is good news from a far country."
(Matthew 6:25-34) The do not worry chapter. This is the chapter that told me we would adopt again and the baby girl woud be named Lily (Lilee). "The lilies of the field". This is a great reminder of why we should not worry, God will take care of his people!
(Psalms 82: 3-4) "Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Resue the weak and neady; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
(Psalms 68: 5) "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."
(Deuteronomy 10:18) " He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow and loves the alien, giving them food and clothing."
(Philippians 4:13) "I can do all things through him who gives me strength."
(Philippians 4:6-7) " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God,which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
(Romans 8:28) " And we know that all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
(James 1:27) "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the orphans and widows in their destress, and to keep oneself from being polluted from by the world."
I am a mama to 5 kids. 3 handsome boys and our 2 Guatemalan Princessa's. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 15 yrs. I have had a love for the orphans since I was 13 yrs. old. I knew one day I would adopt. Now that we have are we finished? I guess we will have to wait and see what God has in store for us!
