Christmas Morning

The kids woke us up @ 4:30 to tell us Santa had came. Yes, I said 4:30 am!

Its hard to get people to smile so early in the morning. Lilee would have rather slept a few more hours!

Dano and Melinda said...: Finally catching up on your blog! I can't believe you got up at 4:30. Derek was up at 5:30 to tell us the tooth fairy didn't come... oops! He lost a tooth Christmas Eve! We told him it was because he was awake & he needed to go back to sleep. Around 6:30 Olivia & Derek were in our bed... waiting... then Emma woke up... more waiting... we told them we had to wait for Wesley to wake up! Also, I wanted to shower, LOL! So around 7:30 or so we were going to Derek's room to read Luke 2 and Wesley woke up... finally, around 8:30 or so, we did presents! ha! ha! Love ya, Mel

Verses that really spoke to me and helped me get through our adoptions.

(John 14:18) " I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."

(Isaiah 43:5-6) "Do not be afraid, for I am with you,
I will bring your children from the west. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth."

(Proverbs 25:25) "As cold water is to a thirsty soul : so is good
news from a far country."

(Matthew 6:25-34) The do not worry chapter.
This is the chapter that told me we would adopt again and the
baby girl woud be named Lily (Lilee). "The lilies of the field".
This is a great reminder of why we should not worry, God will take care of his people!

(Psalms 82: 3-4) "Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Resue the weak and neady; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

(Psalms 68: 5) "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."

(Deuteronomy 10:18) " He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow and loves the alien, giving them food and clothing."

(Philippians 4:13) "I can do all things through him who gives me strength."
